It was panto time in December, where every member of the group took part, not only in the play, but in creating the costumes, scenery and setup.
A challenging project, written and directed by Darren Rawnsley, one of the cast, the play romped through several ‘confused’ characters all auditioning for a part in a Pantomime for €˜Live Radio”, but arriving with different scripts from different panto’s, unaware that the radio production was for Mother Goose. After a lively performance, with the audience adding their voices in booing, hissing and singing, somehow the whole mishmash worked out extraordinarily well, culminating in a mass wedding, although Little Red Riding Hood marrying the Big Bad Wolf took some believing.
Along with mince pies and mulled wine, a jolly morning was had by all.
