The first visit of the season by the group was on Friday 31st March to Clipsham church where the warden showed us around this lovely church.
It had been enlarged over centuries from the original Saxon tower, the chancel being the last addition with a splendid vaulted roof.
The font was one of the oldest with a large wooden decorated counterbalanced cover, still used quite often.
