Birmingham New Street
Birmingham in all its different facets was the destination for the Railway History Group trip in September. From the very basic buildings of the Back to Backs to the grandeur of Victorian civic buildings, to the 'look at me' of modern buildings, we were able to see it all. Our picture of the very modern Central Library next to its Victorian neo-classical neighbour says it all. Rachel had put together an information sheet of the points of intertest (to railway buffs) for us to spot the sights on the way to Birmingham. There were no points for spotting the HS2 ground works, they are massive. So we thank Rachel Roffe and Pamela Rogers for putting together and leading this trip.
Please enjoy a few of the photos taken.
